Everyone has the right to vote and RLF’s associates are aiding the cause. That is the motto of the Election Protection coalition and an idea that all Americans can support. The nonpartisan Election Protection coalition is made up of more than 100 local, state, and national partners who work to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to participate in the political process. The coalition is unique because it does not focus on the political horse race but instead focuses on the voters.
This election season the coalition will insure the fundamental right to vote by using national hotlines, a website, and voter protection programs, across the country. The coalition provides Americans with comprehensive voter information and advice on how they can make sure their vote counts. The Election Protection coalition will rely on the efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers to meet its goals. The coalition will use these volunteers to enter data into an election-irregularity tracking database, field hotline questions, and as mobile legal staff on Election Day. Volunteers who are legally trained (paralegals, law students, and lawyers) can make a special contribution by lending their skills and legal knowledge to this effort. Get involved!
